16th Annual International Week of Prayer and Fasting

On October 16, 2002 the late Great Pope John Paul II declared the year 2003 (the 25th year of his pontificate) as The Year of the Most Holy Rosary. Our Lady has said "the Rosary is the weapon to bring about world peace and to end abortion". The spiritual battle we are in requires the spiritual weapons of prayer (especially the Holy Rosary) and fasting. Pope John Paul II declared the year from October 2004 to October 2005 “The Year of the Eucharist.” This year, during the ten days In October 2007, we are joining forces with other Catholic and Christian groups around the world to commemorate not only Pope John Paul II, but also our honor our wonderful Pope Benedict XVI’s request for praying the Holy Rosary and Adoring Our Lord in the Blessed Sacred Sacrament. In honor of Pope Benedict XVI, and in memory of Pope John Paul II, please register your prayer pledge for the Spiritual Bouquet today. With your Spiritual Bouquet we remember their great devotion to our Blessed Mother and their great love for our Lord's True Presence in the Holy Eucharist. We will take the Spiritual Bouquet you submit below and put it on the altar during the Monday, October 8, 2007 Basilica Mass at the 16th Annual International Week of Prayer and Fasting, (October 1 - 10th, 2007).
