14th Annual International Week
of Prayer and Fasting
For the Conversion of Nations, an End
to Abortion, and to Build a Culture of Life

This year the Week (actually 10 days) takes place from Sunday, October 6 through Monday, October 14, 2007. The goals
of the International Week of Prayer and Fasting are the conversion of nations, an end to abortion, and to build a
culture of Life. We ask people to participate by doing the following:
Fasting • Daily Masses • Holy Hours • Rosaries • Divine Mercy Chaplet
Please attend the youth and family conference Saturday, October 7, 2007 (Feast of the Holy Rosary), - “ To Build a Culture of Life”, on Saturday, October 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The week closes with the second event, which is an all day Eucharistic Prayer Vigil at the Basilica of the National
Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D. C. on Monday, October 10th from 9:00 to 5:00 p.m. There is no
charge to attend the Vigil. Both the Conference and Vigil feature Catholic religious and laity speakers, recitation of the
Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Mass, Confessions, and Eucharistic Adoration.

Herndon HS Homecoming Parade will be on Sat 7 Oct from 9:00am to 1:30pm. ELDEN St will be closed to all vehicle traffic. PARADE DETOUR ROUTE: From Hwy 7100/Fairfax County Parkway, take Elden St exit. Turn right on Herndon Pkwy. From all other directions, turn onto Herndon Pkwy. Take Herndon Pkwy, to Ferndale Street. Turn TOWARDS SOUND BARRIER WALL. Go to Vine St and turn LEFT. Vine St go to Peachtree St and turn LEFT into parking lot of St Joseph Catholic Church.
